Toolkit 3: Basic Squash, Stretch, and Volume Preservation

On Monday's lesson, we started by looking at rigging techniques. The first of these involved a basic squash, stretch, and volume preservation technique added onto a toadstool. To begin, a distance dimension was created using the measuring tools and the rig was parented to the controls both above and beneath it. The node and attribute editors were then used to connect the joints to multiply/divide nodes which would give the squashing, stretching, and volume preservation effects that were desired.
