Minor: Dog Base Modelling (Part 6)

The dog model, again, follows the same process as the cat and human models. I imported the head, attached it to the body, and made some adjustments where they were needed in the neck area before optimizing the scene.

Minor: Cat Base Modelling (Part 5)

The next step for the cat model was the same for the human model; I had to attach the head model to the body, make any necessary adjustments, and optimize the scene.

Minor: Human Base Modelling (Part 8)

The next step involved putting the head into the body scene and adjusting it to fit. Most of the adjustments came from the neck area, though I did make some changes to the hands and feet as well.

Minor: Human Base Modelling (Part 7)

I made some more minor tweaks to the human head model after the dog model, including moving and sizing up the ear like I had planned to. This involved adjusting its position slightly; it now reflects the orthographs slightly better as well.

Minor: Dog Base Modelling (Part 5)

I continued with the dog head by making some minor tweaks to the geometry before I begin attaching it to the body.

Minor: Cat Base Modelling (Part 4)

The next steps for the cat head had me making the neck and ear as well as any smaller tweaks to the geometry. The ears took a few attempts to get to something that I was at least somewhat satisfied with, but for now I'm satisfied with where they are.

Minor: Dog Base Modelling (Part 4)

As with the human head, the next step for the dog head was to add in the neck and the ears. The ears ended up being slightly different to the orthographs and I had to shorten them considerably to hopefully avoid problems when it comes to attaching the head to the body (such as the ears clipping through the shoulders). If I get the chance to after putting the head onto the body and see how it fits, I might make further adjustments to the ear length.

Minor: Human Base Modelling (Part 6)

The next thing I did for the human head was to create the neck and the ear. I spent a while adjusting the face shape and the ear geometry once I'd finished it up. I intend to move on to finishing the cat and dog head bases next.

I am also considering revisiting this model after they have been complete by tweaking the angle of the ears so that they are somewhat more visible in the front view, though for now I'm going to leave it as it is.

Minor: Base Body Modelling (Part 5)

Since my characters share the same body base, the last thing that I had to create was the skirt to fit on the body. I made it out of a cylinder that was adjusted heavily to accommodate for a belt shape on top of the skirt by extruding faces multiple times and placing vertices where I wanted them for the length. I was somewhat selective about this as I wanted it to be long enough to successfully hide the shorts beneath while still keeping it short enough to match the drawings.

I added the 'belt' shape due to consideration of the designs which use the skirt model; the only characters which do so are Evie (in both of her forms) and Alice. Alice's design actually incorporates a belt, and Evie's dress has a stitch line in about the same area which I believe can be changed very easily into something similar.

Now, the body base model is technically completed; the only thing that I need to do now is attach the head models once they are fully completed so I can begin adding each character's separate attributes.
