Having received feedback on my OGR, I decided to progress by doing some further research into Sherman's personal views and how this relates to Buddhism and by extension, Zen gardens. I will most likely use ideas from this for my composition (such as how the buildings are laid out in relation to how the rocks are organised in the gardens) and focus on trying to achieve a somewhat natural look for my city and its surrounding environment. I have been thinking about using the patterns found on the raked gravel in the gardens as the texture for the pathways in the city or at least having them follow the same sort of pattern.
