Major: Character UVs (Part 1)

The next step after finishing off the modelling for the characters was to UV everything. I started with the cat model. The entire process involved cutting edges into the geometry (usually after viewing the UV in 'planar' mode) and rearranging the results using a combination of manual organisation and the 'Unfold' and 'Layout' buttons to scale assets correctly in the scene. To view possible distortion, a texture was added onto the model as well.











At this point, I decided that the legs on my characters would be simpler to stitch the ankle seams back into the actual legs themselves due to the shoes and foot details around the ankle area that would otherwise be harder to paint around the seams.
